Ductless heating and cooling systems are also known by the name of mini ducts and are very commonly found in hotel rooms. They usually have two components – the outdoor condenser and the indoor air-handling unit(s). Some of the places where you can install this system are:
A home that does not have any ductwork. You can operate as much as four indoor air handlers with a single outdoor condenser.
Rooms that are not regularly used so that you can turn off the mini split system and thus lower your energy bills.
Additional buildings where installing ducts could be quite expensive and thus not feasible.
Spacer where introducing ducts can expose them to higher temperatures since like attics and garages or even unfinished basements
